Five gentle poses for better sleep

City rooftops at dusk

A ten-minute bedtime routine you can do on your bed — no mat required.

A short, slow routine before bed signals to your body that it's time to rest. Hold each pose for six to ten slow breaths.

The routine

Child's pose, reclined butterfly, legs up the wall, gentle supine twist, and a body scan in savasana. Keep the lights low and your phone in another room.

Make it a habit

Do it at the same time each night for two weeks. Most of our Wellness Yoga students tell us they fall asleep faster within days.

Practise this with Ruth in class.
